the tuareg of malicommunity in connection
this series of paintings are an aerial perspective of tuareg nomadic camps near timbuctou mali. the tents and surounding walls are moveable and temporary. painting this from helps me understand how community organically developes with walls and openings in response to nature and familial ties. the movement in the paintings is from my experience of being in a sand storm in mali.
